2 Corinthians 8:9 "Ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, which hath made you rich, but hath made you poor, that ye might be rich. That is, He was rich, but He became poor for your sake. That you might be rich through His poverty."

Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we might live, and live abundantly.

Jesus' love is self-sacrificial love, unconditional love.

And Jesus' grace is all that works to make us turn ourselves around.

We cannot sacrifice ourselves like Jesus in any way, but we can be filled with his sacrifice and love and be inspired to self-sacrifice. And we pray for it.

We may not be able to reach the action of self-sacrifice, but Jesus certainly receives our desire to be so and leads us to make it happen.

Let us take our thoughts to God.

That is the intercessory prayer we can make.
