James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously and without reproach to everyone. Ask, and it will be given to you."
Most of us are depressed when we feel inadequate or unworthy.
We compare ourselves with others and with God and lament our inadequacies, but how often do we look to God for this lack?
God does not look at our ability, but at how much we rely on Him and seek Him.
We were created to ask God for what we do not have.
God has prepared everything we need and He wants to give it to us.
We are led to accept and use what God gives us with openness and joy.
Our dependence on and trust in God depends on how we perceive Him.
First, if we do not trust God enough, let us pray and ask Him to trust us.
Also, if we receive God's gifts but do not know what to do with them, let us ask for God's wisdom on how to use them.
God waits for what we ask and responds immediately.
In this repeated exchange, our eyes are focused not on God's gifts, but on God Himself, and we are always amazed at the chemical reactions in our relationship with Him.
