Colossians 1:15 "The Son is the image of the invisible God, born before all things were made."
It is impossible for us human beings to pinpoint when Jesus was born, but He existed before all things were created and loved us from that time onwards.
And it is Jesus who has been working from the beginning of the human salvation plan to the present day, with the same love for us.
Ellen G. White says that for what Jesus has done for us, "every member of the Church should bring every feature of his work into close conformity with the teachings of the Word, and should show the world what God wants the Church to be", to achieve this, we must first know who Jesus is, how much He has done for us and what He will do for us in the future, and by communing with Him through prayer and Bible study, we are certainly nurtured.
And the result will be what Ellen G. White says.
We are transformed, not by our own strength, but by the power of Jesus' love, mercy and forgiveness, and by the power of being born again.
If there is a barometer for this, it is the gratitude and joy that wells up in our hearts.
