John 10:4 "When he has taken all his sheep out, he goes to the head of the line. The sheep know his voice, so they follow."

Jesus, the Shepherd, knows His sheep well and always takes the lead with us, His sheep.

Our God is both guide and protector.
Jesus, the Shepherd, takes care of all our needs.

And Jesus never gets angry, hits, pulls or abandons us, his sheep, at all.

So we follow Jesus willingly.

This brings peace, joy, fun and hope.

Our relationship with Jesus is not a hierarchical one, like that of owner and chattel, but one of heart to heart, of rejoicing together and weeping together in trust.

It is a relationship in which imperfect beings are surrounded by perfect beings, healed, filled and made whole.

In such a relationship, let us rejoice that the Holy Spirit is always guiding us so that we can discern the voice of Jesus.
