John 17:26 "That your love for me may be in them, and I in them."
This is the last verse of Jesus' intercessory prayer.
Jesus has been working all along to save us, and before He went to the cross, He made a renewed plea to His Heavenly Father for us human beings.
His plea was not only to save us, but also to become one with Him, just as Heavenly Father and Jesus are one, and he asked Heavenly Father for this to the very end.
We have been nurtured in Jesus' love and protection since before we were born into the world, and we have been protected and kept alive by his intercession.
When we realise this, we want to be with Jesus and even become one with him.
God's love spreads more and more.
God causes a flood of love through Jesus.
This is not like the flood at the time of Noah, but the flood of God's love gives birth to new life, nurtures it and bears the fruit of love, so that we can become one with God.
We want to be filled with God's love from head to toe and from the depths of our hearts.
If we ask for it, God is a God who will surely give it to us.
So let us ask boldly.
