John 14:30 "I will no longer speak much with you. For the ruler of the world is coming. But he cannot do anything to me."

The Bible tells us that a time of unprecedented trouble will soon unfold before us.

Looking at this alone, we can only feel anxiety, worry, and fear.

But the Bible also tells us that Jesus has already triumphed over the world.

We are weaker than we think, and when we look up to God through the Bible, we feel surrounded by the blessings of faith, but when tribulation is placed before us, we are so weak that we only see tribulation.

That is why the present is given to us to be convinced that Jesus is our place of escape, healing, and protection.

It is impossible for us to fight Satan in our own strength.

We need Jesus.

We are fools and we may easily think that we can just go back to Jesus when the time comes, but we need daily spiritual training, just as athletes practice and compete on a daily basis.

But we need daily spiritual training, which is the realisation by the Holy Spirit that we are incomplete, inadequate and immature. Then we admit it, confess it to God, complain that we cannot live without His power, and experience daily the fullness of being filled with love, forgiveness, healing and being with God in a communicative relationship with Him.

This experience leads to the conviction that God has already won the world and will put an end to the great struggle.

God is coming for us soon!

God will fulfill His promises!
