Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove from your bodies the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Real world education, culture, will power, and human effort all have their own important roles, but none of them have the ability to renew the heart.
We have received a new heart through faith in Christ. It has given us new life as children of God.
God removes our old heart and prepares it so that a new heart can grow.
All that is left is for us to receive it with an open heart or to believe God's promises and accept God's work so that our new heart can grow and mature.
The process may be full of unknowns for us, and there may be situations that are difficult for us to accept. But God declares in His Word that He will provide for us.
It is God's unilateral promise and grace, not our goodness or badness.
Our actions may give us outward righteousness, but they do not change our hearts, and we will not change unless new life from heaven is at work inside us.
God is generous with the abundance of grace that we do not deserve.
We should be bold to receive God's blessings and increase our joy.
