Romans 12:2 ”Do not be imitators of the world, for this is not the will of God. Rather, renew your minds and let yourselves be transformed, so that you may know what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing to God and what is perfect."
Jesus came into the world from himself and as the Son of Man.
Jesus accepted the reality of the world and turned his heart to those who were suffering under the influence of the world.
But Jesus did not imitate the world.
The reason for this is that Jesus looked up to and trusted God the Father in heaven and never shifted his focus.
The reason Jesus was always able to focus and concentrate on that is because he knew God the Heavenly Father and brought about such harmony that he became one with God in heaven.
The more we too know who God is, the more we cannot take our eyes off of Him. Looking up to God gives us peace, hope, and joy.
When our anxiety grows so great that we cannot look up to God, we can honestly talk to God about it and tell Him that we cannot do it ourselves, but we want to look up to Him, and we can choose Him in our hearts. God takes even our unspoken thoughts to heart and works in our hearts.
And by God's power, we can realize what God's will is, what is good, what is pleasing to God, and what is perfect.
All we can do is choose God of our own free will, and when we are given notice, we receive it.
Then we ask God to renew our hearts daily and remake us to be the light of the world.
By knowing who God is, we can joyfully follow Jesus who came to this world.
