Luke 15:32 'But that brother of yours, who was dead, has come back to life. He was gone, and now he has been found. Is it not natural that we should feast and enjoy and rejoice?"
When the prodigal son returned, the father rejoiced, but the eldest son saw his father's joy and became jealous. The verse today is what the father said to his eldest son.
When we see the joy of our brothers and friends, we are sometimes more jealous than joyful.
This is probably because we have been focusing on trying our best not to fail and have not experienced the joy of being forgiven and forgiven.
I believe that the prodigal son was able to change the direction of his life because he was able to accept the mistakes and failures he made, because he knew how great it was to be forgiven by his father, and because he experienced forgiveness.
We often do not forgive ourselves. Jesus went to the cross for our forgiveness. We have already been forgiven by Jesus.
When we accept Jesus' forgiveness by faith, our eyes are opened to see each thing he has done for us, and we are overwhelmed by the magnitude of his love, but also filled with joy, gratitude, and hope.
We are forgiven by Jesus.
God grants it and rejoices with us!
