Matthew 15:6 "You have reduced the Word of God to nothing for the sake of your own traditions."
For centuries, the Church has defended many non-biblical traditions as biblical absolutes. This attitude has distorted some of the teachings of the Bible, inhibiting our understanding of the truth and confusing faith with delusion. Why is this?
Because we try to understand God's Word with human understanding. No matter how much we study the Bible, no matter how much we increase our knowledge, we cannot understand or accept God's Word without the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our passion and desire to believe in God and to know more about Him alone will remain a human interpretation. No matter how intelligent we are, our knowledge is influenced by sin. God is fully aware of this, which is why He has given us the Holy Spirit.
What kind of God is our God? How should we receive His message to us?
If we do not accept what God is saying to us, distinct from our subjective interpretations of the Bible, we risk remaining ensnared in the perplexity between genuine faith and misguided beliefs.
I believe that it is not a question of which is right, but what is God's message to us.
God is always speaking to us. Let's stop our old thought process and accept the new thought process that God has given us, and be sure to receive God's message. God will certainly make it happen. And it depends on our choices.
Whether we choose to rely on ourselves or on God.
It is not what we can or cannot do, but what we choose.
God has been waiting for us to choose Him. He is waiting by our side.
